In the early 90's Andrew teamed up with the travel writer David Craig. His books On the Crofter's Trail and Native Stones had been very well received and he was now embarking on a project of the great rocks of the world. Dave was a keen rock climber as well as a poet and travel writer and some of his best friends were accomplished climbers. Andrew travelled with Dave on the British leg of his epic journey, 'entering' through Durdle Door in Dorset and travelling through Britain to the Shetland Isles and 'exiting' through the arch of Dore Holm.

Dave also wrote for Cumbria Life and Andrew travelled with him taking the images for the articles.
